Lyme Properties To Gift Riverfront Open Space For Public Access At River Park: Developer Proposes Collaborative Model For Recreational Improvements

On Thursday, November 14th representatives from Lyme Properties (www.lymeproperties.com) updated the Lebanon Conservation Commission on the vision for River Park West Lebanon as a walkable campus, prioritizing public access to the Connecticut River and open space. Lyme announced the formation of Friends of River Park (www.friendsofriverpark.org), a New Hampshire not-for-profit entity that will take ownership of the riverfront open space parcel at River Park to ensure permanent protection and access to the river by the general public.

Crafts Avenue Neighborhood Meeting

Thanks to all of our friends and neighbors who attended the neighborhood meeting last night. We are grateful that approximately 40 of you braved the inclement weather to learn about the utility and roadwork that will be necessary on Crafts Avenue before River Park can proceed. To help our neighbors better understand where we are in the development process and to discuss the public infrastructure work we have been required to perform, Lyme Properties will be hosting a neighborhood meeting on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 7PM in the community room at the Kilton Library. Much of this meeting will focus on the Crafts Avenue roadway and utility work that must be done before construction at River Park can proceed. This meeting will be open to the public and we especially encourage our Crafts Avenue neighbors to attend.

River Park Zoning Alert!

Apparently, the overwhelming support of the citizens of Lebanon is not enough to deter some members of the City Council from their opposition to the River Park Master Plan.  We discovered this morning that next Wednesday, March 17th, the City Council will vote on a new zoning change that will nullify the results of Amendment # 1.
