River Park Construction Starting Soon

Site work at River Park will commence on the Crafts Avenue Extension in early April, pending final approval from the City of Lebanon Planning Department and Public Works. The first stage will be extending the Water and Sewer lines from the end of Crafts Avenue (where they currently end at the River Park boundary) into the site, followed by the Roadway improvements to the Crafts Avenue Extension cul-de-sac.

As always, we appreciate the continued support and patience of the neighborhood, and are taking steps to minimize the impact on the community and ensure continued access to the publicly accessible riverfront at River Park.

We have made it clear to all contractors that no vehicles will be allowed access via Crafts Avenue; construction access will be limited to the existing service entrance off Route 10 to avoid traffic in the neighborhood and to protect the recent road and sidewalk improvements on Crafts Avenue. We will endeavor to provide a safe pedestrian walkway to allow access to the other parts of River Park, including the waterfront area; however, driving onto the site will be prohibited. Some vehicular parking is available on Route 10 in the lay-by area, but no private vehicles will be allowed in the construction zone, which will be fenced off for safety purposes.

For this site work we have contracted with Nott’s Excavating, who completed the Crafts Avenue Sewer and Roadway Improvements work for XYZ Dairy and the Waterline for the City of Lebanon in the Fall of 2018. The contractor will have to segregate this pedestrian access with construction fencing and we ask all neighbors to respect the construction site for safety purposes.  This is especially true for the safety of children who must be accompanied by an adult when they visit River Park.

Please be aware that our contractor will be re-installing the security cable at the end of Crafts Avenue to prohibit unauthorized vehicles. All parents are urged to show their children where this cable is located and to make sure they understand they should not ride bicycles near this cable for their own protection.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly.
