River Park Update

Things at River Park have been progressing slowly this summer and I want to give everyone an update, especially our neighbors on Crafts Avenue.

When we met last we thought the final construction drawings would be completed by the end of June and municipal approval of those drawings by the end of July.  Subsequent to the neighborhood meeting that we hosted, the Lebanon City Manager hosted a neighborhood gathering to explain the process the city intended to follow.  In July we received notification that the City had elected not to add granite curbs or concrete sidewalks and they formally requested an upgrade to an 18-inch sewer line.  Additionally, they reversed an earlier position that said the Crafts Avenue sewer work must be completed before a building permit could be secured for the first building in River Park.  Lyme met with municipal staff on August 14 to review construction drawings for Crafts Avenue and discuss additional engineering work necessary to finalize the design.  It is now clear that additional time will be needed to finalize and obtain approval of the roadway plans and there will be no construction work on Crafts Avenue this year.  The earliest work will start is the Summer of 2013.

I will try to post more frequently on Dave’s Blog to keep all of our friends up to date but please don’t hesitate to contact me directly with any questions.
